Quality Assurance

"Good manufacturing practices" or "GMP" is part of a quality system covering the manufacture and testing of active pharmaceutical ingredients, diagnostics, foods, pharmaceutical products, and nutritional supplements. In compliance with the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) set out by the Natural Health Products Directorate of Health Canada, we have built an efficient and up-to-date facility, fully equipped to ensure the highest quality and nutritional effectiveness of our natural health products.

Our Products are scientifically formulated by our professional team of nutritional, herbal and pharmaceutical specialists. Our experts considerately follow the product formulation guidelines sketched by Health Canada and ascertain that our Product complies with the essentials set by the government and as well as suits the needs of our valued customers.

All natural health products (NHPs) sold in Canada are subject to the Natural Health Products Regulations, which came into force on January 1, 2004. Once Health Canada has assessed a product and decided it is safe, effective and of high quality, it issues a product licence along with an eight- digit Natural Product Number (NPN). This NPN number let consumer knows that the product has been reviewed and approved by Health Canada. Vital Source offers a wide variety of NPN approved products.

Our quality system works to maintain the Highest Possible Standards and it covers entire manufacturing process from ordering and receipt of raw materials to manufacturing, packaging and dispatching. During each and every step of production process,
GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Protocols are sincerely followed by our employees with the aim to assure Stability, Potency and Purity of each product.

We assure quality by:
- Testing all ingredients for purity and its nutritional effectiveness.
- Analyzing every formulation to confirm complete ingredient accuracy and potency as per label claim.
- Conducting in-process inspections throughout the total manufacturing cycle and testing finished products by our qualified experts as well as by independent government-certified laboratories.
- Visually inspecting every finished product for its quality control and compliance with our clients' specifications
- Performing a final in-house quality validation of packaged products
- Retaining samples of each product for future reference and shelf-life testing
- Offering our clients the benefit of our expertise in the regulatory affairs to prepare the appropriate documentation for their new products
